Arrive Kolkata and transfer to your hotel. Remainder of the day at leisure. Kolkata (formally Calcutta), situated on the eastern bank of Hoogly River, was once the capital of British India, and is now the capital of West Bengal. It is the gateway to eastern India. Conceived in 1686 it has had a turbulent history. Day 4 – Kolkata to Bagdogra (Flight) to Kalimpong
Flight to Bagdogra then drive to Kalimpong.
Kalimpong, is such one place with so much of diverse notes in its bosom that any music can be played out of it. The place is a beautiful admixture of mesmerising beauty of lofty hill, motley heritage with rich historical and cultural brocade works, which can easily hem the aspiration of a spirited traveller or for a wanderer.it offers majestic view of Himalayan range where the peaks jostle with one another to woo Kanchenjunga.
The colonial past of the town can best be enjoyed through some of the fabulous bungalows constructed by the European settlers of the past. Kalimpong has scores of such bungalows dotting its residential areas.

Day 6 – Kalimpong to Gangtok
Morning drive to Gangtok.
At an altitude of 1750m, Gangtok became the state capital in the mid-19th century and has undergone rapid development since then the down town area is dominated by huge government buildings decorated with traditional Buddhist symbols. Gangtok is also a resting ground for people travelling to North Sikkim. Surrounded by Monasteries and Orchids, Gangtok is truly a traveller’s delight.

Drive to Pelling
Pelling is a small town in the north-eastern Indian state of Sikkim, at the foothills of Mount Khangchendzonga. The late-17th-century Buddhist Sanga Choling Monastery has mountain views. Pemayangtse Monastery features wall paintings, sculptures and a gold-plated statue of Guru Padsambhava. Overlooking a valley, the 17th-century Rabdentse Palace, now in ruins, still has evidence of the king’s bedroom and kitchen.
The scenic town of Pelling is a perfect holiday destination for all nature lovers, history and architecture and adventure enthusiasts.

Started by a Scottish tea company in 1859, Glenburn has now passed into the hands of one of India’s pioneering tea planting families – The Prakash’s, who have over the years come to be known as the “Chaiwallah family”– which literally means “tea planters”.
The story of the Chaiwallah family began over a hundred years ago, and is closely entwined with that of tea plantations in India. Today, the third and fourth generation Prakash family, carry almost a century of tea knowledge in their inheritance, and invite you to visit Glenburn.
