Day 1 – Arrive Mumbai
On arrival you will be met at the airport and transferred to hotel.
Mumbai (formerly Bombay), the gateway to India in the days of the British Raj, is today India’s commercial capital. The city dates back to around the first century AD, when the area consisted of seven islands separated by the sea. In 1661 the Portuguese presented the port and islands of Bombay to the British, and in 1668 the East India Company leased all of the islands from the British Government for £10.00 in gold per year.

Day 3 – Mumbai to Aurangabad (Flight)
Morning transfer to airport for flight to Aurangabad. Arrive and transfer to hotel.
Aurangabad earlier known and Khadka was re-named after the Mughal Emperor, Aurangzeb. It is the gateway to the World Heritage sites of Ajanta and Ellora, but also has attractions of its own. These include Daulatabad Fort, Bibi-ka-Maqbara (the only example of Mughal architecture on the Deccan Plateau), Panchakki Water Mill and three excellent museums housing art treasures of the region.
Afternoon explore the Ellora Caves.Constructed between the 5th and 8th centuries A.D, The 32 rock cut cave temples of Ellora are noted for their remarkable sculptures, which depict the Hindu, Buddhist and Jain faiths.

Day 4 – Aurangabad – Excursion to Ajanta Caves
Today excursion to Ajanta Caved, The 29 Buddhist cave temples of Ajanta are cut into the rocky cliffs of a dramatic crescent-shaped gorge which date from around 200 B.C. to 650 AD and unlike Ellora, which they pre-date, are all Buddhist. Five are chaitya (temples); the others are vihara (monasteries). The frescoes are in superb condition and are a painted record of Buddhism in ancient India. A number of the caves also have fine sculptures.

Day 5 – Aurangabad to Hyderabad (Flight)
Morning city tour of Aurangabad covering Daulatabad Fort, Bibi-ka-Maqbara (the only example of Mughal architecture on the Deccan Plateau), Panchakki Water Mill.
Later transfer to airport for your flight to Hyderabad.
Arrive Hyderabad and transfer to hotel.

Day 7 – Hyderabad to Hubli (Flight) to Hampi
Morning transfer to airport for flight to Hubli. Arrive Hubli and then drive to Hampi.
Set in wild landscape, strewn with huge rounded boulders on both sides of the Tungabhadra River, Hampi was the centre of the Vijayanagar Empire which was one of India’s largest Hindu empires, and dominated the south from 1336 to 1565. Founded by the Teugu princes Hariharan and Bukka, its vast wealth was built on the spice and cotton trade. The site has a magic ambience and the ruins are superb.

Day 9 – Hampi to Chikkamagaluru (Chikmagalore)
Morning drive to Chikkamagaluru
Chikkamagaluru-The original coffee hills of India is situated in south-western Karnataka and set in beautiful mountainous terrain filled with natures wonders; lofty peaks, delightful dales, turbulent rivers, sparkling streams, captivating cascades and bracing mountain air.

Day 11 – Chikkamagaluru (Chikmagalore) to Belur to Nagarhole NP
Morning drive to Nagarhole enroute visiting Belur.
Belur:the 15th century Channakeshava Temple, known for its exquisite soapstone sculptures and pillars, which took 103 years to complete.
Arrive Nagarhole in time to enjoy the Afternoon Game Drive.
Nagarhole once the private hunting reserve of the Maharajas of Mysore now encompasses nearly 250 species of birds, approx. 40 species of mammals including tiger, leopard, Elephants also home to the elusive Black Leopard.

Day 12 – Nagarhole NP
Get ready for Morning game drive to explore more wildlife .
Afternoon you can enjoy the coracle ride in the Kabini river. Probably the best way to be closer to birds for photography.

Day 13 – Nagarhole NP to Mysuru
Arrive Mysuru and check in at hotel.
Mysore, “Sandalwood City”, was the political capital of the Wadiyar dynasty of Maharajas from the 14th Century until the British took control in 1799. Mysore was and is a major producer of sandalwood and manufacture of aromatic produces. The city of palaces, gardens, shady avenues and sacred temple has retained the charm and character of a long and notable history with, at its centre, the majestic City Palace.

Day 15 – Mysuru (Mysore) to Bangalore (Bengaluru)
Morning drive to Bengaluru.
Bangalore is the capital of Karnataka state, originally founded in 1537 by Kempe Gowda, a Magadi chieftain, who built a mud fort with four watch-towers marking the city limits, which he called Bengaluru. When Bangalore became a British garrison town in 1809, they built wide avenues, classic bungalows, Gothic churches and museums.
Half day city tour includes Vidhana Soudha, Bangalore Palace drive past the city.
