Day 1 – Arrive Kolkata
Arrive Kolkata and transfer to your hotel. Remainder of the day at leisure. Kolkata (formally Calcutta), situated on the eastern bank of Hoogly River, was once the capital of British India, and is now the capital of West Bengal. It is the gateway to eastern India. Conceived in 1686 it has had a turbulent history. Now the largest city in India it displays glaring contrasts: a curious blend of the old and the new, wealth and poverty, partly feudal, partly born out of growing urbanisation, partly un-definable.

Day 2 – Kolkata
Today enjoy the guided tour of Kolkata. The Sightseeing includes the Victoria Memorial, Fort William & Maidan and St, Paul’s Cathedral. Remainder of the day at leisure.

Day 3 – Kolkata – Guwahati L D
Transfer to airport to board your flight to Giwahati. Arrive Guwahati and transfer to your hotel.
Arrival at Guwahati airport. On arrival meet and assist by JTi representative and transfer to hotel. Later visit Kamakhya temple, the famous Shakti shrine of India.

Day 4 – Guwahati – Balipara (Wild Mahseer) (200 km / 4 hrs approx) BLD
After breakfast drive towards Balipara. Check into hotel. later if time permits walk around the lodge.

Day 5 – Wild Mahseer – Nameri National Park day excursion (20 km / 45 minutes approx) B L D
Early morning drive to Nameri National Park to trek inside the national park. Packed breakfast will be served on this day. Later return to the starting point and drive 25 km upstream and raft down the Jia Bhorelli River. Return to your hotel on the break of day light.
Nameri is a scenic park in the foot of Eastern Himalaya in the Assam-Arunachal border. It touches the Pakke Tiger reserve in the south-east boundary. The park has a great variety of mammals like elephants, tigers, Indian gaur, 4 species of deer, Capped langur etc. This park is also known for its birdlife. Nameri is the place to watch the elusive and endangered White-winged Duck. Among the other parks, Nameri has the highest number of this species in the world along with more than 350 species of birds.

Day 6 – Wild Mahseer – Eagle’s Nest (lama Camp) (150 kms / 7 hrs approx) B L D
Morning after breakfast drive to Eagle’s Nest and check in at Lama Camp. Evening at leisure.
Rising from 500 m to 3500 m altitude with an area of 218 sq. km is the Eagle Nest Wildlife Sanctuary that hosts one of the finest birdlife assemblages that Asia has to offer. Ward’s trogon, wedge-billed and rufous-throated wren-babblers, rufous-necked, great and wreathed hornbills, black-necked crane, beautiful nuthatch, emerald cuckoo are some of the most sought after birds.
Dinner and overnight at Lama Camp.

Morning after breakfast go for birding around Lama Camp to look for birds.

Day 8, 9 & 10 – Eagle’s Nest (Lama Camp to Bompu Camp) B L D
We leave after breakfast and drive for a short while and then trek to Bompu Camp inside the Eagle’s Nest. Later in the day we go for birding around Bompu camp.
For next three days we’ll explore Bompu area, drive beyond Sessnei and back to the camp. Targets will be Blyth’s Tragopan, Beautiful Nuthatch, Sikkim Wedge-billed Babbler, Long-billed Wren babbler, Eye-browed Wren babbler, White-georgette Flycatcher and Laughing thrushes, Pale headed Woodpecker, Greater and Lesser Rufous-headed Parrot bill, Indian White-hooded Babbler, Large-Blue Flycatcher, Hodgson’s Frogmouth back to camp by evening.
Overnight at Bompu Camp.

Day 11 – Eagle’s Nest – Kaziranga National Park (230 km / 7 hrs approx) B L D
Today after breakfast drive to Kaziranga National Park..
Lunch will be enroute.
Upon arrival check in to lodge.
Kaziranga A world heritage site located on the banks of mighty river Brahmaputra in the North East region of India – Covering 430 sq km of swamps, vast elephant grasslands making the ideal habitat for great mammals and bird life. The easy accessibility to wild life is the secret of Kaziranga’s growing popularity among the wild life lovers and tourists of the world. With its primeval vegetation Kaziranga presents a view of what Brahmaputra valley must have been like ages ago, before it opened up for cultivation and habitation.
